It is known news that recently a new project was announced and this is based on the life of Shirdi Sai Baba. The story is smooth till there but trouble has begun at few corners after it was revealed that the title role is going to be donned by none other than Nagarjuna.
It is heard that few long time devotees of Shirdi Sai have raised an objection. They said “Nagarjuna has married one person, left her and married again. He has been involved with IT raids. He drinks, smokes and is also known for his Casanova image. His linkups with few heroines have been another highlight.”
They also add ”He was seen as a devotee in ‘Annamayya’ ‘Bhakta Ramadasu’ that’s okay but we cannot see him as God. Given his image and history, we cannot accept this.” Well, few cine folks say that the contention of the Shirdi Sai devotees is genuine but then it remains to be seen how Nag and director K Raghavendra Rao will handle these objections.
